About
Sealwell services all types of internal and external caulking for commercial clients.
It All Started Here
Our history began when founder Brett Walters was inspired by an opportunity for better service and craftsmanship in the caulking and waterproofing industry. This lead to the creation of Sealwell (which was formally known as BW Sealants) in the late 1980’s.
In an industry that had limited offerings at the time, Sealwell was a two man strong team who catered their skills to a unique industry need. Serving a range of clients throughout Melbourne on both a domestic and commercial scale, the business quickly began to evolve.
This evolution saw the team and skill set expand into a range of services based around further industry needs.
These were opportunities such as abseiling infrastructure that previously was perceived very difficult. This service has now lead to on going contracts with maintenance divisions at institutions such as Swinburne University. In addition we have also been able to cater our services to meet all PC Laboratories Standards.
After many years of working in the industry, we understand and have the ability to know what is needed to complete any given job and offer solutions for all your caulking and waterproofing needs.
Waterproofing Experts
Our aim is to achieve excellence in all aspects of our business. This includes both our on and off site practices. We also do our best to comply with all workplace health and safety and most importantly meet our clients’ needs to the best of our abilities.
As a business however, we also are aware there is a level of global and local impact that occurs when working within the construction industry.
This is something that is often associated with environmental impact, however we feel it also reflects the need for more sustainable practices within the everyday operations of our employing and providing the opportunity for development and growth within our team. This then creates an engaged workforce who improve and progress the standard of our profession for the future.
We also believe in only using the leading brands and products on the market to ensure the best results.
We are loyal to our suppliers such as Sika, Parchem, Bostik, Tremco and Pasco.
All these companies are Australian based companies who are not only providing the best product, but also complying with all industry environmental standards.
Accredited, Approved & Compliant
As approved by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, National Building Industry Safety and Policy Branch, Sealwell is approved and compliant with The National Code Of Practice for the Construction Industry. This accreditation has enabled us to work on such jobs as the Eastlink Project, Peninsula Link Project and Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
It is our company policy to adhere to industry standards, regulations and any other requirements needed both on and off site. Compliance falls under certain categories such as Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) requirements. We pride ourselves on always ensuring all our employees meet these requirements prior to stepping on to any job site.
Occupational Health and Safety and Personal Protection Equipment are necessities associated with the construction industry. This is particularly relevant in our line of work, which is technical and often requires us to adapt our skills to many varied landscapes.
With this in mind it is imperative that we operate within and meet all OH&S and PPE requirements. To ensure that our employees are meeting these requirements before stepping on any site, we have a dedicated administration team. This team ensures all our employees are up to date and compliant with all current industry safety standards and gives both our employees and clients confidence in the safety of our service.
To comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations all of our employees are trained and have an approved EWP ticket. This identifies that our staff have been trained to safely use and operate specific EWP (elevated work platforms) such as scissor lift, boom lift, vertical lift, trailer mount or truck mount work platforms. Ensuring our employees and clients are safe is a responsibility we take most seriously.
